A Day Until the End Ch. 1 Pt. 1
Pure snow covered the land, blanketing it in a coldness that the land never denied. Tiny snowflakes added to the mass blanket, as if trying to warm the ground with their numbers. The snow and it's kind lay in wait for the humans to come and play with them, knowing they had interrupted school with their antics. The snow waited for two boys in particular, today just like that day so many years ago.

He lay, broken and beaten against the cool concrete. He lay on the cold concrete, the rain chilling him as it rain along the ground mixing with the blood creating a swirl of images. He could feel the raindrops as the fell from their haven in the clouds, the feeling much more intense than normal, as if his nerves were screaming out an alarm to his brain. It confused him. Why could he feel the rain and not his own body? Had his brain finally gotten tired of registering wounds and focused on everything else? He couldn't feel his own breathing, yet he must have been because he lay on the ground gazing at the filth infested alleyway.
